The chairman of National Netball Development Committee, Shri Hariom Kaushik is on three days visit to the North eastern States for Spreading awareness of Netball in the region. Kaushik landed here in dibrugarh on 9th march from where his three day visit starts.
The main goal of this visit is to access the status of Netball in the States and work out plans for development of netball in the northeastern region. He is also here to spread awareness about inclusion of Netball in ‘Ek Bharat Sreshth Bharat’ initiative of Ministry of Sports & Youth Welfare, Govt of India.
During the visit Kaushik will be assisted by Birju Ram, the general secretary of Netball Association of Assam, Piklu Roy,the Joint Secretary of NAA, Bipin Chandra Saikia, Treasure of NAA, Ratul Moni Mahanta, assistant general secretary, Chitra Kumar Borah and Deep Dutta,Executive member of NAA, and sports organisers including Monuranjan Hazarika, Mohan Borgohain, Ramesh Baruah, Debnath Gowala and Ankit Mahanta.
